Privacy policy
This website is run by Sandrine Schau. This page explains what the site collects about you, why, and what you can do about it.
What is collected
Nothing, unless you choose to accept cookies. If you accept, the site uses Google Analytics to count visits. It records which pages you look at, roughly where you are (country and city, worked out from your IP address), what kind of device and browser you use, and which site or search sent you here. It does not record your name, your email address, or anything you type.
If you decline, or simply ignore the question, no analytics are loaded at all and nothing about your visit is sent to Google.
Why it is allowed
Your consent, and nothing else. No analytics script is loaded before you press Accept. You can change your mind at any time using the link at the bottom of this page.
Who handles the data
Google Ireland Limited processes the analytics data, and it may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Analytics records are kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.
Other services this site relies on
The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like any web server, it keeps short-lived access logs that include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Photographs are delivered by Sanity, which also stores the site's text and images.
The recordings on the Listen page are embedded from YouTube and SoundCloud. The YouTube videos load nothing until you press play, so YouTube learns nothing about you before then. The SoundCloud players load with the page and may set their own cookies, which are governed by SoundCloud's own privacy policy.
If you get in touch
If you send an email or call, that message and your contact details are used only to reply to you. They are not added to any mailing list and not shared with anyone.
Your rights
You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it being processed at all. Write to the email address at the bottom of this page. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
